About the Karabair and Lokai Breed .Both these breed are of mixed Mongol and
Arab blood, and owing to the wide pastures of their habitat,
Uzbekistan, they have developed into fine horses of two distinct
types; a light saddle or pack horse of good conformation which
is bred in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan, and a heavier
harness-type in the valleys and foothills. They have both developed
an exceptional agility and speed, while retaining a most tractable
nature.
